The health of the mind and the body are one and the same, part of an integrated system with the potential to allow you a healthy, fulfilling and successful life on all levels if you maintain and tend to that system, just like a well maintain machine

Physical & Mental Health are One and the Same.

Fasten your seatbelts for the Mind/Body series appearing throughout the next month or so. It is very common for those of us who embark on a deliberate exploration of our potential and personal growth to become involved in healthier living practices on all levels.

Some people start their journey on the path of applying new ways of thinking – trying to be more positive for example and become more aware of physical health along the way, adopting healthier eating and exercise practices too. Others start on a journey of improving their physical health and discover new ways to apply their minds further down that path, becoming more aware of healthy mind activity.

This is because both these aspects of health are connected. It is not very likely for you to maintain a healthy, positive, successful and strong mindset for very long if you do not put the same work into maintaining your physical health. We have mentioned before, many times that how you feel has a big affect on your thoughts and therefore how you create certain results and outcomes in your life. It’s also very difficult to remain physically healthy without a healthy way of thinking; due to your stress level and general feeling of well being impacting on your physical health practice.

The Mind/Body series aims to address how and why both sides are so important for supporting each other and to explain how attention to health on all levels is necessary for a truly healthy and therefore happy and fulfilling lifestyle to be achieved.

After recently having to encounter a physical health issue of my own, even after years of possessing what I thought was a high level of awareness of my own integral health system, I have had a good reminder of how critical it is to give the highest priority of awareness to diet, physical well being and how it affects thoughts, decisions, mood and general quality of life.

Applying awareness to the integral nature of mind and body health will result in much greater success in achieving the lifestyle you desire exponentially more than focusing on just one or the other. They are both parts of the same engine and both need equal servicing!

More to come.

Money - Time to Stop Putting it as Number 1 Priority. We have done a great job of worshiping something we created ourselves, but is inherently not real

It’s Time to Stop Worrying

You still need some money? Of course, so do I and I even forget sometimes where that should sit in my priorities list. It’s not at the top, especially not at this point in history.

If you’ve read anything lately you’ll probably realize that the financial system isn’t working and as we head toward a new chapter of existence it may be that the financial system, at least as we know it will be irrelevant.

The point here is not to keep busting your gut trying to make enough money and instead enjoy the money-making time you spend. The other time – and make sure you make that time – is for your other obligations, like your family, health, entertainment etc.

I Don’t Agree I Want the Money!

That’s OK, money has become the central force in all human activity, so it’s crazy to just say ignore it. Of course, go for it. All I’ll say is that the time spent outside "Trying to make more money" is time where you are exposing yourself to different stimuli, like your children, friends, other activities and trips to a different town or whatever: All things that can inspire you with all sorts of new ideas by fueling your imagination.

You should know by now where I’m going to go with that next right? Imagination, ideas, inspiration: Pretty good for coming up with solutions to making more money, among other things. Dare I say even putting you in a state better suited for attracting it and all things good?

Neural Reconditioning in 2011. It was a Good Year for those of us who purposefully exercise our minds in the direction of creating our own possibilities and results. It's important we maintain this discipline to grow with the world around us, so take a refresher!

What we Covered in the Last 12 Months

It’s been quite a year hasn’t it? Lots of twists and turns, so many extreme conditions – there were tsunamis, earthquakes, floods, hurricanes and we also saw a lot of extreme economic and political activity as well, which sensationalists would likely describe as catastrophic or revolutionary.

In an attempt to remain as calm and grounded as possible I am accepting both the highs and the lows of the past year as equally important as things that needed to happen as part of the path that we are heading, whatever that may be, which I might add, there are plenty of different stories about what lies in store for our world in 2012. I can definitely feel that we are heading for some kind of fundamental change, but I’m not invested in knowing or even speculating what that is apart from hoping that we are heading towards a world of more harmony and peace for all.

A Re-Cap of the Year at the NRR

The past year has been less extreme and more relaxed here at the NRR, but in case you missed any of it, here it is in summary as bullet points, that you can use to enter into the site search if you want to read more.

Have a happy new year.

The Last 12 Months

Intent – Intent vs intention, how intent is applied, making affirmations, creating something to believe in.

Belief – The belief scale, who/what to believe, inviting belief, maintaining belief, what belief really is.

Focus – Shifting focus from what you don’t want to what you do want, becoming focused, how to be focused.

Sticking to Your Guns – Staying true to yourself, knowing when to give up or carry on, staying certain.

Starting Over – Keeping a fresh perspective, detachment from certain outcomes, don’t wait, just start!

Looking back I think we covered good ground over the year, so go over the posts to refresh your memory. They are very quick to read and digest. I hope the Neural Recon Report has brought something positive to your year and here’s hoping it will bring more next year. It’s nearly time to start over again!

Have a good one!

Merry Christmas! It's here again and a reminder that no matter how much time flies, there is no age limit to starting again. It is never too late. You always have the choice!

To Start All Over Again

I have always believed this deep down, ever since I was a kid, but the truth is that I have allowed my doubting voice to have too much say in the past and even fell for the illusion that once you reach a certain age then there isn’t much left you can hope to achieve.

Well I have seen enough evidence, up close to convince me that you can achieve your life-long ambitions even if you feel it’s too late. You can’t believe the stories told to you by doubters or what you see on TV or in the newspapers. There’s more reality in your dreams than there is in the media, so which do you trust more?

The more you learn to really know yourself, trust yourself and be yourself the more success, fulfillment and happiness you experience because it’s those things that create fulfilment, happiness and success. The more you know, trust and are able to be yourself then the more obstacles you will overcome because they will just not appear as obstacles anymore, just things to do, which incidentally will provide some excitement and things to love along the way.

If you can’t trust yourself, who can you trust? So just believe in the fact that while there is breath in your body then you are still in the game and you can still win, even if you have to start all over again!

Well it’s Christmas day, so my best wishes to you and whatever your Christmas day is like, it could be the start of something better than you could ever hope to dream for.

Merry Christmas.

In order to start a clear pattern of thinking, you need to clear out some clutter in your mind, to pave the way for inspiration, ideas and positive changes!

Slow but Purposeful

Spend time everyday looking at what is really important to you in terms of how you want to live on a day-to-day basis. Your ideal vocation in life and what kinds of choices you would really love to have the freedom to make any time.

Applying this kind of energy, going back to the drawing board, so to speak will show you where your focus may be misguided or lacking with respect to what you want to achieve. You are likely to see and understand the reasons you aren’t achieving something impoertant to you.

For example, that may not be what you truly desire at all. This clearing out will help make space for some far more inspiring ideas and thoughts to come to you and propel you forward to greater success and fulfilment.

This process never really finishes. Your thoughts, ideas and goals change often enough for it to be necessary to clear some clutter from the mind on a regular basis, so as not to get confused and fall into the biggest trap there is, where you find yourself thinking and saying "I don’t know what it is that I want".

Well you always do know deep down what it is and if you feel like you don’t then it’s time to go into the vault and clear out the junk, listen out and hear the answer from your subconscious because it is there all the time with the answer.

The key to a clear head is regular meditation, even if it’s only 5 minutes a day.

Starting over is essential to living life by design. You could say that every moment is a new start and with that outlook every moment will be untainted by the past or future.

What Comes First, What Comes Last?

I discovered for myself some time ago that everyday is a fresh start and that life never really has a beginning or an end. Almost as soon as I had this realization after years of dreaming about doing something I really "wished I could do" – pursuing my dreams instead of talking about them my life transformed radically and totally for the better.

I made a decision to start a new life in my dream location with my dream woman and to live a dream lifestyle and piece by piece it has all fallen into place. Rather quickly too I might add.

It feels incredible. Starting over to me is not a step back, but a privelidge – an opportunity to start from scratch at any given moment and choose the direction to set off in. This is something we all have the choice to do incidentally, so if you are thinking about doing something new then stop thinking and just start.

Starting Over is Essential

It is an important fact to get that every moment is a brand new "now" and as such contains an infinite power as the seed of any choice you make. Choose wisely as that power has the capability of giving birth to any situation you put your focus on. Starting again is often seen as undesirable as we try to hold on tightly to what we already have or have already gained along the way, but what we have built up to this point could possibly be the very hinderence to achieving something more desirable. If we try it, then starting again could be the very thing that sets us free from our own self-imposed limitations.

Try it, you might like it!

Starting Over is required to make positive changes. In fact my approach is to start over every day and with another new year imminent. It's time to start again! So get ready...

Every Day I Start Again

In this series of posts I will attempt to keep you inspired and motivated to making more than just New Year’s Resolutions, but firm commitments to positive change. Of course the main ingredient to making positive changes in your life is to genuinely want them! What often gets in the way of knowing how much you want change is the cloudiness of knowing what it is you actually want in any detail.

I hope this will help!

Over the next few weeks I will post some nuggets of "wisdom" gained from my own experiences and practices to help point you into a position of more personal power. Making change is easier than you think. It’s all about the order in which you do things and the order in which you apply your thinking too… More about that can be discovered in my book "Mind over Matter – Heart over Mind".

So to get you started. Make a commitment now, that will already be a cemented habit for the better come new year and already have much more chance of success than a New Year Resolution and don’t be afraid to start again! (I wrote a song about that once)

It’s Got to be Fun Right?

Whatever path you’re on, no matter how big your goals are or how important you see your mission in life, what’s the point in any of it if you can’t say to yourself "Life is enjoyable". We know that in order for you to achieve your dreams you will have to exercise some discipline, including patience. Yes it will take time for things to become the way you truly desire them to become, but it doesn’t have to take a lifetime. That’s up to you and how unbending your intent is (remember intent is not the same as dogged determination, it’s on another level entirely).

The key to intent is to let go of "Making it happen" and trusting that it is in process: Allowing it to happen. Your part in that process is to create an attractive force.

The most effective way to create an attractive force, so that your desires follow you is to be an attractive force. What kind of people are good at attracting positive things like relationships, friends, good business partners, fans, followers, wealth? Positive people, of course, not hard to imagine. What is a good way of being positive and thus surrounding yourself with a positively attractive aura?

I’d say the best way is to be happy! Look for the fun in everything, try and enjoy what you can and see the best in any situation. I don’t mean to be annoyingly chirpy all the time, but simply, if you don’t like something or find it too hard to force a smile or see the enjoyment, simply remove your self from it or try to find another position from which to view it or be involved with it.

I say there is always something in any situation you can view in a positive light, any situation, no matter how dire. The degree of positivity may vary depending on the situation, but it’s always there. It may not always be appropriate to make a joke of something. There are normally other people’s feelings to consider, but if you can’t be happy in a situation the look to whatever you can find that is more positive that the immediate despair or negative feelings.

The more you enjoy your day to day, embrace the mundane and smile in stressful moments, the more powerful your certainty, belief, intent and your lack of Need for your life getting better. You know that when you already feel the way you want to feel when you’ve achieved your big dream, it just comes to you, because it was already there just waiting for you to be ready. So get ready and fasten your seatbelt!

It’s Just a Matter of Time

The life of your dreams, really is just a thought (or a dream) away. The trick is tidying up your thought process so that you are more aware of what thoughts you have. Make them deliberate and purposeful and you’re halfway (or more) there. This is what gives rise to you certainty, the certainty of the path you’re going to start on gives rise to your belief in success and yourself and if you have all of that set up then congratulations. You just have to keep on walking the path as they say.

Once you are truly certain of what you want, which results in absolute, resolute belief that it will be realized, all that is left is the time to allow it to happen.

Of course the stumbling block is that many people get to the stage of being certain and believing, but then they start to doubt if a little time passes and nothing appears to have progressed further. All the hard work, which is nurturing your intent, gets undone and you end up sabotaging your own success by second guessing, believing a little less each day, until you are corrupting your right thinking process with cynicism, worry and a focus on negative outcomes.

Too bad, because you had it made. All that you had to do, was be patient, keep doing whatever you were doing and enjoying what you had already. Trust me, this is the toughest part. The part when you have actually managed to push the rock to the top of the hill. Shouldn’t the last part be easy after that? Well it could be, but you are human and you have no doubt been brought up in a system where you have been conditioned to be impatient, doubting and cynical.

So remember and keep reminding yourself as often as you can. The easiest part is the waiting because, just lie in a restaurant, once you’ve decided and made your order, you no longer have to do anything to get your food! It will be brought to you. Stop believing in the notion that "It can’t be that easy, there’s got to be more to it". There ain’t, but we always try to add more to it in the form of doubt, fear, worry etc. out of some insane habit to make everything so complicated.

So, you’re certain, you have belief in your vision. Be patient and put your efforts on continuing to believe instead of doubting or worrying. And Enjoy the process.

Is your goal right for you? Should you change lanes or make a U-turn? Discovering the truth about what you want is crucial as you may be after the wrong thing

Dare I Mention Giving Up?

Deciding whether you are on the right path or not and whether giving up on a particular intention is the right thing to do or not is a decision steeped in great personal power and is all part and parcel of the power of certainty.

Giving up is no failure if you know it is the right choice to make.

With a powerful sense of certainty, you will be far more confident in making your decisions as you move toward your goals and this includes knowing when to give up on a either a particular move you previously committed to or the goal as a whole.

Giving up on a particular approach can free up your awareness of another, more effective route to success. I have lost count of the number of times I have experienced and witnessed in other’s pursuits, the process of "Banging one’s head against a wall" chipping away at an elusive target when sanity kicks in and there is a voice that says:

"You know, now really is the time to stop this. It is not working. It would be far better if you just took the family to the beach, went to see a movie or something like that. Just forget about it today. It’s just making you stressed and ill"

Once that decision is made a simpler solution is always round the corner and happens so suddenly and so effortlessly that it makes me wonder why I don’t take that approach much more often. Well that is to be human I suppose!

Also to give up on an entire goal is not necessarily giving up at all. What you thought you wanted may just have been a result of achieving something different; something that incidentally is much easier to achieve and has obvious ways of achieving very easily right now or very quickly. So be aware that your own mind can fool you into a trap of putting all your energy into something futile if you don’t practice awareness as to what you really want. Be certain!

Giving up doesn’t sound much sticking to your guns does it? But as counter-intuitive as it seems, it’s exactly that. Think of it not as giving up, but as dropping an inefficient practice in favour of a better one coming up to take it’s place along with bigger rewards and fulfillment!
