Changing Your Focus

Tearing Your Focus Away From the Same Old Thing

Your focus is a habit, just like your beliefs. They are closely connected. Your beliefs are the product of what you focus on, your focus is a product of what you experience.

How then do we create a new experience out of fresh focus when experience itself helps determine what we focus on in the first place?

Training with the goal of creating a new point of focus based on what we choose to install the mind.

You see, like beliefs, most of our focus is automatic and was created out of what we were told and taught in the past. Once we had a certain focus installed in our minds we experienced things that correlated with what our minds were focused on, cementing it as a belief, which was like putting a padlock on the door of that belief and throwing away the key.

Well the key is not lost, it lies within your own resolve and discipline and you can unlock that door and let that belief run away and with it the focus that causes it to grow ever more rooted in your mind.

So enough with analogies. How do you do that? Well first lets see how the chain of events unfolds to create the manifesting process in the first place.

Initial teaching, which we have very little control over as children creates an awareness of a particular thing, which then puts your focus on it. Your focus on it makes it all the more apparent in your experience of the outside world, which creates and reinforces your belief in that thing being absolute. Your focus and belief from then on is automatically set on that as truth and that is what you experience on an ongoing basis further strengthening that belief and closing your mind and senses to any other possible alternatives to that "thing".

A simple example is the football team you support is largely determined by who your parents or peers support.

Before you can change your focus to something that may better serve you in order to improve your results in life, whether that is in the area of finances, relationships or just general "Good Fortune" you have to uncover the area of your focus that is currently in operation. Then you have to consciously divert that focus until that new focus becomes automatic.

Simple yes? Well it is a simple concept, but you have to work at it. It’s called discipline, just like losing weight, training for a marathon, learning to play a musical instrument or anything else.

Before you try "Changing your focus" uncover where your focus is currently then your habit(s) will no longer have the advantage of stealth.
