Who Do You Believe in?

Who Do You Believe in?

Yourself or Others?

Do you believe in the possibility of great achievement by others, but not yourself? Please think about that for a minute because that may be true for you without you ever having realized it.

It is actually quite common. How many times have you heard somebody in your family or a close friend say something like:

That doesn’t happen to people like you and me

You may have even thought to yourself or said to somebody else "Well that’s easy for her, she doesn’t have the problems I do". Well maybe she doesn’t, but what are the chances that she thinks about her own problems, whatever they may be? Maybe her success in your eyes doesn’t really feel like much of a success to her because she has certain beliefs or lack of in herself, always comparing to what others have or do. She may even look at you and say the same thing about what she perceives as your success.

It’s easy to allow problems, insecurities, fears and habits to overpower your self-belief, but it is that self belief that is the foundation on which all your achievements are built. Without that belief there is very little chance for your certainty in success to flourish and therefore achievement will become an uphill struggle. The truth about a successful achievement is not about brute force, but faith in the outcome, bringing with it awareness of what action is required, when it is required without attempting to force the issue with action up-front.

There must be at least one time in your life when you achieved something that felt easy, even though when you looked back on it, it really looked like a significant achievement. Go through your memory and find such an occasion, then revisit the feelings you had before, during and after, what action did you really take and at what stage of the process?

The shocking truth of all this is that you really do already have all the answers to your questions. You just need the awareness to see and/or feel what the answers are. That awareness can only come about once you start reinforcing your self-belief. That’s the biggest job of all and it’s the one job that you can get right to, right now without having to wait for anything to be ready. You are ready. NOW!
