Unconscious Affirmations

How You Create Results Without Even Trying.

One key process in reconditioning your mind set is making affirmations, which I have covered elsewhere in this report, but I feel the need to write about something which is very much based on personal experience. I could go into all the technical details about how the Neural Reconditioning process changes your brain, but I think John Assaraf can explain this much better than I can.

What I want to share is how I have discovered that many affirmations are made by ourselves without our conscious knowledge that we are doing so. This includes things that create both desirable and undesirable results in our lives. My most notable breakthroughs and successes have come without me purposefully applying focus on them; or at least without my conscious awareness of my focus being on them. I then realized that I could transform my levels of success by looking into what it was about my state of being and my mind set that enabled these results to manifest.

Meeting my wife, having a breakthrough in my online business and my music-based endeavors are such examples. I have spent many years in the past believing I was focusing on my goals and being dedicated only to discover recently with an "A-Ha!" that I was not actually focusing on the goal. The real focus and therefore results were on the fear of not achieving those goals. In all the cases where I saw this and changed how I felt about them, which is to say I let go of the attachment to whether I achieved them or not, I have seen a positive move towards achieving those goals. The ego ic mind is a calculating and very surreptitious beast. It can be a great ally in certain situations, but it is a stubborn animal that really likes to have its own way all the time, so don't be surprised if you discover that it is running a whole different agenda to the one you think you are running.

What does all this mean? Well the heart of the matter is this. You create everything in your reality all of the time, on some level. By putting conscious effort into managing your thoughts and discovering what automatic patterns of thinking and being you execute on a day to day basis is pretty much what waking up to life is all about, so you can become more adept at choosing what results to create today rather than being at the mercy of pot luck and seeing results that reflect whatever you are seemingly, uncontrollably creating with your state of being.

Through regular meditation for nearly a year now I have started to see how some of my most desirable results that have materialized into reality for me came about through a particular focus on them, but during the time previous to seeing these results come to fruition I was totally unaware of how I was being. For example: Being, thinking and acting in a certain way led to a positive result and when that result came, my reaction to it was a feeling of good fortune "That was a stroke of luck!", but after looking back with a little more awareness I can see how, at points along the way I was "placing my order".

So the secret of affirmations and how they work is not a simple process of writing down what you want and reading it everyday. This certainly helps focus your intentions, but the real secret is to look inside in between your conscious affirmations and your visualizing sessions to see what's really going on and where your focus really is. You may feel very positive and happy whilst visualizing and reading your list and those "positive" feelings you are putting out there make you feel like you are on the right path, but realize the truth. You do not put anything "out there" into the universe. The universe isn't a space that you occupy. You are the space that the universe occupies, you are it, it is you.

That is why everything starts from the inside because that is the core of the universe and the universe is what gives rise to everything in your reality. It's not a theory, so words can't describe it adequately. It is a law and exists with or without words or language to describe it. So, what feelings are really going on underneath the surface, when you have stopped reciting your affirmations and gone back to your day to day activities? These are your most powerful affirmations, reveal them and you have the ability to change the ones that are not doing you any good.

What this means is to learn to watch yourself as if you are watching a character in a movie, except you are able to tell that character what to do at any given moment. Your list of affirmations is great, don't give up on that, but remember that the real power is unlocked once you discover the affirmations you have been making for years, un-noticed (your beliefs, in a word) and expose the real creators of your reality.

Have fun watching. It's amazing when you find something and get one of those "A-Ha" moments.
